Part B Premiums Not Changing

Your patients subscribing to outpatient, or Part B, Medicare, will be relieved to learn premiums won’t change for most beneficiaries in 2015. Cost-sharing for hospital and skilled nursing stays will increase slightly, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced.

Most beneficiaries will continue to pay monthly premiums of $104.90 in 2015, the third year the cost has held steady. Premiums cover doctor’s visits, outpatient care , and medical supplies. Beneficiaries who earn between $85,000 and $107,000 will pay about 146.90 a month.
