House Chairmen: Full Steam Ahead!

House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton and House Rules Committee Chairman Pete Sessions released a joint statement regarding the importance of moving forward with ICD-10. The Energy and Commerce Committee has been working with CMS to ensure ICD-10 implementation is achieved on October 1, 2015 and is prepared to hold a hearing on it in 2015.

    It would be foolhardy to further delay implementation of ICD-10. A tremendous amount of time and money have already been spent on this project. These delays are adding more coest as we are forced to give refresher education to many staff members.
