AAPCCA Offers Financial Help
Are you aware that the AAPCCA Board of Directors offers financial help for AAPC members who are struggling to maintain their AAPC membership and certification? Below are several programs offered to help struggling members.
Hardship Scholarship Fund
The Hardship Scholarship fund exists to assist current members in maintaining basic membership and essential credentials. The fund is not designed to provide additional credentials or non-essential educational services. Funds are reserved for members who can demonstrate their hardships through application. All who fit this criteria are encouraged to apply for assistance.
Project AAPC was originally created as a way for AAPC members to help victims of catastrophic disasters. Past experience has taught us that AAPC members prefer to keep funds and assistance on the local level. Because of this, AAPC members who have been negatively impacted by natural disaster or personal crisis and need financial assistance have an avenue for help through Project AAPC. AAPC members who meet this criteria are encouraged to apply for aid.
Scholarship Application Review Committee
Scholarships are awarded by the Scholarship Application Review Committee, which is comprised of past AAPCCA Board of Directors members, serving in an anonymous and voluntary role. The scholarships are supported through donations made by members and local chapters. If funds run too low, the review of scholarships will be put on hold until funds become available again.
Inform your local members in need
Keep connected with your chapter members who could gain help from these resources. You may want to announce that involvement in a local chapter is not required for eligibility for help, but it does carry merit in the decision-making process.
