If you haven’t stumbled on the treasure trove of information in the Office of Inspector General’s (OIG) Media section of their website, it’s time you found it.
OIG now keeps you informed on fraud, enforcement, and compliance via podcast. The podcasts are found on the OIG website with Mike Kane, Office of External Affairs, discussing the monthly news and findings, recent healthcare enforcement actions and OIG reports—such as Semi-Annual Report to Congress—and even U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS)-OIG’s 40th anniversary information. You can find podcasts going back as far as March 2012.
Be warned: When you start listening, it’s hard to stop. And, while you’re on the OIG podcast Web page, click the Exclusions Database button to see which doctors are excluded from government funding.
