CMS Extends Enrollment for Those Impacted by Hurricanes and Wildfires
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has extended enrollment periods for those impacted by 2017 hurricanes in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. This gives them access to health coverage on the Federal Health Insurance Exchange and provides additional time to join, drop, or switch Medicare health and prescription drug plans. The opportunities are extended through March 31, 2018.
CMS is also providing additional opportunities to join, drop, or switch Medicare health and prescription drug plans for those affected by the wildfires in California through March 31, 2018.
