Message from AAPCCA Leadership

HEALTHCON 2019 is fast approaching! This is one of my favorite times of the year. It is a time I get to see friends and colleagues that I do not get to see often. It is also a time where I meet new friends and grow my network.

These past two years HEALTHCON has been especially dear to me. Since being a part of the Chapter Association I am more involved with the local chapter officers than ever before. Being an officer is a privilege and an honor. To volunteer your time to a great organization that helps support and advance your career is a fantastic opportunity and to meet some officers that hold the same sentiment as I do it makes it all the more special.

To be a great officer you need great training and great leadership. The AAPCCA offers in-person and virtual training across the country but there is no training like you get at HEALTHCON. When we all meet at HEALTHCON for Leadership training we bring with us questions from across the world. We see and hear other officers that have the same question or have been in similar situations where they may not have known exactly what the right thing to do or say is. At Leadership training it is a gathering of the minds where we work together to problem solve. We network and share ideas and topics. We learn from each other and from the Leaders of the Chapter Association and the AAPCCA team.

All officers and prospective officers are invited to meet with the members of the AAPC Chapter Association on Saturday evening, April 27, 2019.  What better way to kick off HEALTHCON than by gathering with fellow officers and leaders to gather and share information you need to help you run your chapter successfully.  It is your chance to meet with other officers, ask questions, share ideas and compare the way you get things done. This event is always packed full of fun information to give you the stepping stones to be a better leader of your chapter this year and for years to come.

My fellow board members and I are looking forward to meeting each one of you! If you are attending HEALTHCON in April, I encourage you register for this event.  What is even better it is FREE, you earn CEUS’s AND meet some great people. So please come by to say hello.

To register, on the HEALTHCON page, go to the agenda on the HEALTHCON page, select the Additional Events tab scroll down to find Leadership Training.  I hope to see you there!
