Message From Your Region 6 Representatives: Jean Pryor and Pam Tienter
With most people on social media nowadays, it is easy to stay connected wherever you are. Do you check Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn on your computer, tablet, or even your phone during the span of the day? AAPC is on those sites, so check them out too!
AAPC has two Facebook groups. Both require requested access to the group. One page is AAPC Certified Members. This page is for credentialed members. Members can ask questions related to medical coding, billing, and anything related to the management of the revenue cycle. There are almost 7,000 members in this group. Do you have a question, want to find some information or just network with certified and experienced members? This could be the place for you.
The other group, AAPC, is open to members and non-members. This is a page where non-members can find out more information, those studying for a certification exam can ask questions, those that pass an exam can tell everyone all about it, and coding and billing questions can be asked and answered. It also is a group to network and meet others. There are almost 30,000 members in this group and there is a lot of good information there.
The NAB is getting involved with the pages. We want to meet and get to know members, so in the following weeks, we are going to start a NAB Member highlight on the AAPC page. If you are not a member of this group yet, be sure to request access. If you are already a member of this group, be sure to find the featured NAB member and ask anything or just chat. It might be one of us! We look forward to it!
