Glaucoma represents a family of diseases commonly associated with optic nerve damage, and with visual field changes. AAPC Member Betty Gilmore, CPC, CCS-P, CPC-I, CPC-H explains that studies have shown that the early detection and treatment of glaucoma is the best way to control the disease before it causes major vision loss.
