In the last issue of EdgeBlast, in the article “OIG: Physicians Generally Miscode POS,” we may have inadvertently misled you to believe that the Office of Inspector General (OIG) report to which the article refers was based on a review of all physician claims when, in fact, the OIG only looked at ambulatory surgical center (ASC) and hospital outpatient claims that reported the same codes for the same dates of service. We apologize for the lack of clarity.
