Outpatient Surgery Magazine: “Don’t Put Off Preparing for ICD-10 Conversion”
October 1, 2013 seems far away; however, putting off ICD-10 implementation in your practice could really hinder your success. A change of this magnitude in health care up to this point has not existed. Even the implementation of HIPAA pales in comparison with the task ahead of us. Rhonda Buckholtz, CPC, CPMA, CPC-I, CGSC, COBGC, CPEDC, CENTC, VP of business and member development for the AAPC, discusses how ICD-10 will change everything, and the need for practices to prepare today. This article is not available online but can be found in the September issue of Outpatient Surgery Magazine on page 17.
