The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released new guidelines for clinicians on treatment of pregnant women infected with novel influenza A, or H1N1, June 30.
Treatment should not be withheld pending test results, the CDC advises. Influenza antiviral chemoprophylaxis recommendations have been updated to be consistent with CDC recommendations for chemoprophylaxis for high risk groups.
