Auditing is a process of reviewing the contents of a medical record — and particularly the documentation made by the practitioner and other clinical staff. AAPC member Susan Reehill, CPC, CPMA, CEMC, shared the importance of doing regular audits to ensure chart entries accurate and detect possible errors.
