Key Role:
Review medical documentation for medical necessity. Review medical documentation for medical appropriateness. Perform medical reviews and analysis in accordance with Medicaid benefit requirements. This position will require periodic travel and is located in Rockville, MD.
Basic Qualifications:
-1+ years of experience with medical coding
-1+ years of experience with medical billing
-BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
-Knowledge of Medicaid state and federal laws, statutes, and regulations
-Knowledge of industry-specific forms, coding, and reimbursement methodologies
-Knowledge of general medical terminology
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-BA or BS degree in Business, Nursing, or a related field and appropriate certification
