Hi
How would you handle this -the area over the left subacromial bursa, injected with Depo-Medrol with 2 ml of 2% lidocaine then into the left
subacromial bursa. Then the right subacromial bursa and right glenohumeral joint is also injected with same medications.

Would 20610LT, 20610LT59, 20610rt, be appropriate?

would you combine the J code and bill out J1030 X3 units? or would you just bill out J1030, J1030, J1030 because of the three different sites?

Thanks

Personally, I would only bill 20610-LT and 20610-RT since both the injections on the right were into the same joint. I would bill the J code with the # of units used.

Hope this helps!

I agree I would bill the 20610-50 with the number of units for the J code, I would also check with your insurance carrier as well to see if they want it billed as LT/RT or with 50 modifier.
