Pt. had an anterior cervical discectomy, and then post-op developed a hematoma in that area. The op note states that "his previous anterior cervical discectomy wound was reopened, hematoma was evacuated, a TLS drain was placed in the surgical bed and tunneled through the skin inferiorly.
They put him under general anesthetic for this, and I'm not sure if I need to go with a superficial code, or a deep code. I am hemming and hawing, and any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
