I am confused. Can anyone explain to me how to determine the selective and non selective meaning. I am new to this and I do not understand the initial second and initial third terminology.
Please help.
Catheter does not leave the vessel entered(direct puncture/stick) or is advanced to the aorta, but no further.
Injection performed through the sheath at an access point are considered non selective .
Selective:
Once a catheter is placed in the aorta from any access point, any catheter movement beyond the aorta is considered as selective.
