Is anyone else noticing that Aetna is not paying 36415 anymore? It used to be certain employer groups did not have the code in their contract, but now I am noticing it is more widespread among Aetna. Anyone else seeing this? Is there anything we can do get the fee for 36415?

A lot of payers do not pay 36415 separately unless its the only service provided.
Your option is to continue to do blood draws which will be bundled or send patients directly to the laboratory.

I see it as well, not only with Aetna but other insurance companies as well. We have tried to create custom rules to prevent the code from going out on a claim. We enter is as $0 for reporting purposes only.
