Good Morning,
I have a radiology chart (outpatient coding) in which has identified a healing fracture as well as an additional fracture not labeled as healing. From my understanding v54.89 can be used for the healing fx, but what do I use to identify the other fracture since I believe you can't use v54.89 with a fracture code?
IMPRESSION:
1. There is a subacute healing fracture of the right fibula with surrounding
talus. No evidence of abnormal enhancement associated with this finding.
2. There is a subtle fracture of the medial talar dome without radiographic
evidence of osteochondritis dissecans at this time. The medial malleolus
remains intact.
Thanks for any help you all can provide!
