Scenario A: The patient is seen by the doctor and they order a 24 hour BP monitor but the clinic is out of them. So, the patient comes back another day and we put the monitor on and then remove it when they come back the next day. Our facility will bill for the TC. We will bill 93790 for the interp. and report. Is there anything we can bill for the application and/or removal of the monitor by the nurse?

Scenario B: If there is something to bill for Scenario A but in this case, the patient see's the doctor, a monitor is added that day by the nurse -- would that be included in the E&M?

Does anyone have any experience billing these? Seems as though it's only covered for those w/o a dx of HTN - we use it for a variety of reasons.. any thoughts or input is appreciated.
