Hello,

Are medical providers required to keep EOB's and Insurance correspondence for a specific period of time they same as they are for Medical records?

Required by whom?

EOBs - I keep them all for 7 years because they are the proof of our business transactions if we get audited by the IRS. They are not part of medical records, so that doesn't apply.

Insurance correspondence - could be part of the medical record if it has to do with patient care.
