My doctor did an ASD and VSD repair at the same time. There is the code 33647 that states repair of both ASD and VSD. CCI edits do not show codes 33681 and 33641 as bundling. How do you know if you should use both codes separate or just 33647?

I deal with the same situation but according to Coding Companion for CT it does say the codes 33681 and 33641 are for closure of a single defect, therefore, if atrial AND ventricle are done I guess it automatically should be the 33647.
 
The only codes I append a 26 modifier to are radiology codes, for professional component. I normally only bill the radiology codes when my cardiac surgeons do an endovascular procedure....aneurysm repairs. For example 75952-75959.
