A patient is 7months pregnant and takes over 30 minutes with the doctor at a routine AP visit, with extensive questions regarding the actual delivery ( e.g. induction, episiotomy, forceps, pain management, etc and options for delivery ( e.g can I use a doula, what happens if my doctor isn't availabe, c-section, etc). My doctor wants to code this as an OV 99213 modifier 25 to indicate it is outside of the global delivery code. Is there an appropriate ICD to use with this?
