The question refers to immediate type reaction allergy testing (CPT 95004, 95024) acoording to the supervision guideline these codes require direct phycisian supervision, but still want to ask if there is a legal way for allergy testing to be done by ancillary personal (RN,PA, medical assistant..etc) and billed by physician that was not present at the site but employs the ancillary staff?

Thank you

If the guidelines state direct physician supervision and the physician is not in the office, then you cannot bill for this service. If the work is done by a PA or RNP who are credentialed with the payer, then the service would be billed under their NPI.
