I do the billing for multiple specialities who are employed by our local hospital. We bill claims under the hospital's TIN. We are getting denials from insurances for our anesthesia billing of 00140 when done for an orthopedic procedure. The anesthesia department is a separate entity from the ortho practice. Is anyone else experiencing these denials and what are you doing so both specialities get reimbursed?
