Can someone please let me know how "current" factors into this code? For example it states "Other long term (current) drug therapy."
So is it referring to a drug that someone has used long term and is currently still using it? Also, what time period designates "long term?"
I am wondering if progress notes state that patient is here for follow up on chemo for active breast cancer and is doing well on her current regimen,
but is now immunocompromised would that support long term use? I don't think it would, but it appears to be gray area with respect to how long one has to be on a drug for it to be considered long term. Also, since the cancer is active it may imply that patient has not been on the regimen for very long.
I'd appreciate any feedback you may have.
