I was wondering if there is an explanation as to where this code is done. I have some information that it is done in outpatient wound care facility. A surgeon here uses this code for debriedment in the office. Thank you in advance for help.

It is not restricted to a particular location. It can be used in the office or other facility, but the provider must have direct patient contact

Is this debridement code billable with and E/M code? It looks as it is but usure of underlying rules?
