Can anyone please help me with the coding:
EGD - esoph =normal, bx in gastric antrum, duo = normal....cpt 43239
Ileoscopy - evidence of prior end-to sile ileo anal anostomosis in J-pouch. The ileal reservoir contained ulcers. Cold forcep biopsy for histology.
Terminal ileum contained polypoid non-obstructing mass w/oozing. Cold forcep biopsy taken for histology
Dr. states he did EGD and Ileoscopy with Pouchoscopy thru anus, not a stoma. The Ileoscopy codes 44380-44383 state 'thru stoma'
My choice for coding is 43239 and 44386 for the EGD bx & endo eval sm intest w/pouch.
Would this be correct? Any suggestions are appreciated.
