As the Charge and Medical Coding Supervisor, you will supervise the coding and billing function for all locations billed by CDI’s Revenue Cycle Management team. You will supervise and oversee the performance of coding and billing associates, both remotely and in-person. You’ll be tasked with ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements; and the accuracy and completeness of work, efficient staffing levels, effective workflow and the training of associates. You’re going to have to be a team player with strong physician office and medical practice revenue cycle management experience.

Responsibilities include:
(55%) Staff Supervision
• Serves as a leader for all coding related issues across the company
• Responsible for supervision of coding and billing staff including recruiting, training, and monitoring the quality of work and productivity.
• Leads weekly coding departmental meeting with collaboration with Director, Coding Process and Compliance and the Compliance Quality Assurance Specialist
(40%) Charge & Coding Support
• Leads or assists with coding policy and process with collaboration with key RCM leadership and Compliance Quality Assurance Specialist
• Ensures that charges are accurately posted to patient accounts in a timely manner
• Answers internal & external questions regarding billing and/or coding practices (denied claims; insurance carriers, pts)
(5%) Completes other tasks and projects as assigned
Summary of Qualifications:
Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Maintain coding certification by a nationally recognized coding organization such as CPC, RCC and/or CCS
• 5+ years coding experience in health care setting; 3+ years supervisory experience, coding supervisory experience preferred
Preferred:
• RCC Radiology certification (Interventional Radiology a plus)
