Wiki Contrast problem

We received our 1st payments from medicare here in GA for 2010 and our MRI contrast code A9579 is being denied for "procedure code inconsistent with modier or modifier is missing modifier" and "missing/invalid/incomplete procedure". Is anyone else having this problem? Last year their system had a glitch at the beginning of the year with the Q9967 contrast code for our CT scans. So far all have been denied and of course they can't help or understand this problem at the moment. Thanks for any responses.

I did not know any modifer to add for the contrast material.( * >>>) Im not billing this year radiology, but i think , the fist responde for medicare is the
denial. You have to ask for an adjustment when you received the denial, and send it back all information regarding to the patient, symptoms, allergies if any, etc, etc.
incluiding your radiologial interpretation , and the evidence of the material administered
to the patient.
That's really was good for me, it works/

Medicare denial

Thanks for your response...come to find out Medicare had a "glitch" in their system and they found it after several phone calls to them from many offices. After several denials they corrected the problem.
