Wiki Corneal transplant w/cataract extraction.

Patient had corneal transplant and cataract extraction during the same encounter. I am not quite sure which code would be appropriate 65730 or 65755.

The operative report has the cornea removed, then cataract surgery with lens implant, then donor cornea.

I am leaning toward 65755 - any suggestions.

The code will depend on the diagnosis (pseudophakia); check with the physician if the op report is not clear. Bill the cataract surgery separately, as secondary procedure, but you may have difficulty getting both paid depending on the carrier, due to CCI edits.
