Dr. did a hemi-arthroplasty w/ subscapularis advancement. He's wanting to use 23395 for the advancement, but I'm not very familiar with this code and in reading it's description, I don't feel it's the correct code to bill. I've posted the section of the op report that refers to the subscapularis advancement, if you need more please let me know. Thanks for any advice or articles you can refer me to for this.
The subscapularis was noted to be thick and healthy and was released off the lesser tuberosity with the Bovie and secured with stay sutures.
Several #5 braided non-absorbable sutures were placed through drill holes in the lesser tuberosty for repair of the anterior capsular tissue and remnants of the subscapularis tendon, and suters were placed through the bone in the biceps groove and greater tuberosity so I could advance the subscapularis.
