I'm looking at 27386. I can't get a file to attach so here is the op report. Diagnosis is Chronic abductor Tendon tear.
DESCRIPTION of PROCEDURE: .....The patient's left lower extremity was prepped and draped in sterile manner, after which an incision was made over the lateral aspect of the hip. Dissection was carried down to subcutaneous tissue. The IT band was identified, sharply incised. Upon entering into the undersurface of the IT band, joint fluid was obtained. This was clear without any wigns concerning for intection. The greater trochanter was copletely devoid of any attachments of the abductor musculature. The wound was then copiously irrigated, after which, dissection was carried down to the lateral afemur. A bony window was then created after which an Achilles tendon allograft with bone block was then utilized. The bone block was then secured to the lateral aspect of the femur utilizing 2 Super cable. The tendinous portion of the allograft was then further secured to the greater trochanter utilizing #1 Vicryl suture, after which a #5 FiberWire suture was place through the abductor tendon and advanced to the allograft. This was sewn to the allograft using a #5 FiberWire suture. The allograft was continually sewed up into the abductor musculatrue utilizing #1 Vicryl suture.
Can anyone help?
Thank you,
