Hi I would like to know how would you code this report? Would it be 76998 because the title of the exam, or 76856 & 76830 because of the technique with icd 9 code V67.00?
EXAM: US INTRAOPERATIVE EXAM SURGERY
Indication: Dilatation and curettage
Technique: Multiple ultrasonographic images were obtained of the
pelvis using the transabdominal and endovaginal approach. Transvaginal
Transducer GE IVT Serial #90256WX9.
Findings: The uterus measures 9.0 cm in the sagittal dimension, 7.0 cm
in the anteroposterior dimension, and 5.0 cm in the transverse
dimension. Intrauterine gestational sac and fetal pole seen at the
beginning of exam is removed at the end of exam.
The right ovary measures 1.9 x 2.5 x 1.2 cm and the left ovary
measures 2.5 x 2.4 x 2.9 cm. A left ovarian corpus pseudocyst is seen,
measuring 2.2 x 1.6 x 2.2 cm.
Impression: Status post dilatation and curettage.
