Our RHC is new to orthopedic billing. Does the radiology report by the orthopedic physician have to be reported on a separate page or form in the Medical Record? We asked our new locum physician to report the radiology finding under a Radiology heading in the chart note but the physician is telling us the reading must be reported on a separate report or page (not within the chart notes for the visit). True?

If this is true can you point me to the guidelines? Thanks for your help.

hi there! I have never heard of this before. I bill for a practice of 7 orthopedists and they all dictate xray findings under an xray or imaging heading in their chart note. Hope this helps :)

Thanks for your reply. We were pretty confident that we knew that the report does not have to be a separate document but proving it has been a challenge!
