We have a patient that came in with a non-healing surgical site. We did not do her surgery. The dressings that we are doing weekly are Collagen dressings which are expensive compared to our standard dressing. I found a HCPCS code A6022 throught A6023 that fits description of what we are using. The pt is medicare and want to know if this code is reimbursable - I see in the HCPCS book a symbol DMEPOS paid and special coverage instructions - but not sure what this means. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
