how do you determine "aunt" (mom's sibling/father's sibling) if patient's (female)uncle's(father's brother) wife has cancer i don't think you can code Family Hx.
doctor doesn't write whether it is mother/father's sister or someone else.

I have always understood family history to mean direct line. Your father's brother is a direct line. His wife however, is not. That's why they usually don't count cousins and such, the line is not direct.
