Ok... I don't think I'm seeing things...

I am studying for my CIRCC exam and on pg. 137 of the 2015 CIRCC study guide, question #35 asks:

With which of the following codes can code 77003 be reported separately when fluoroscopic guidance is utilized?

A. 62270 B. 62290 C. 64479 D. 64491

The correct answer, according to the answer page on pg. 138 is A, but the information below CPT code 77003, in the 2015 CPT book states that 77003 is INCLUDED in CPT code 62270.

Really need to make sure I'm not missing something, and if I'm not, then I'm concerned that there are more that are incorrect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!

That statement below 77003 is saying that the injection of contrast is included in those procedures, not that the fluoro is included. Fluoro guidance is separately billable with 62270.

I completely understand! We actually had a lengthy discussion on another thread about that same statement, in regards to billing fluoro with 62310/62311. The downside of that set, is that Medicare changed CCI edits this year to go against CPT guidance for fluoro with ESI's...hopefully they won't do the same with LP's!
