Wiki FQHC question

I work for a billing company specializing in FQHC's. Experience in DC, MD, NY, FL, VA, and AZ. What is your question?
I have a bunch of questions! lol! One question I have is regarding our BH counselors that are not credentialed with Medicare because they are LPC and LMFT. We are struggling with guidelines on how to bill for the patients that have Medicare primary and Medicaid secondary or the managed care plans that are both Medicare and Medicaid combined. We are located in Ohio so hopefully you can help.

Hello Tobias, services rendered by LPC or LMFT are non billable to Medicare. As a FQHC, reimbursement is limited to the following providers/clinicians:
psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health clinical nurse specialists, and clinical social workers.

I am currently working for an FQHC. I am new to this type of billing and have a few questions...

1. Can we bill for vaccines that are performed in community clinics? (i.e. We do back to school vaccine clinics and flu clinics out is the community at different locations)
2. Can we bill a vaccine out in our NP's name if the Medical Director wrote the standing orders and an RN or LPN administered the vaccine?

I am in Ohio if that helps. Thank you!!

Thanks for everyone replying to my message. Can you please provide the best training resource for FQHC training, I live in TN? Because I got answers for the first question, now I have questions regarding prenatal visits, as to when to bill them and what procedural codes to use. Thanks
