I am confused- Physician did Closed reduction and fixation of a nonunion coronoid fracture of the elbow.
24685 is an OPEN reduction with fixation
24675 is a Closed reduction, but NO fixation . . .
I am also thinking of 24582 which is a percutaneous skeletal fixation of humeral condylar fracture, medial or lateral without manipulation.
Under a general anesthetic, ( an ORIF had been anticipated )
There was no incision done. Under fluoroscopy, he threaded a pin from a cannulated screw set. the pin was placed percutaneously, and to obtain compression he used a drill to predrill to the fragment and then placed a screw into the fragment.
Would appreciate any thoughts or comments to my choices ?
