how would you code a gluteus maximus repair with a tendon transfer to the greater trochanter of the hip???
unlisted ? 27299 - if so what to compare to and any separate code for the tendon transfer???
any advise would be greatly appreciated.

We just billed out for a Left hip gluteus medius tendon repair with achilles allograft. I used 27299 with letter attached. Doctor compared it to 23420- open rtc repair. We billed $14932.00, insurance paid a little over $11,000. Hope that helps.
