We do Hida Scans always with Choletec but sometimes with Sincalide. We have been coding the Hida Scans with Choletec as 78227 and A9537 But when Sincalide is included we have been coding 78227 A9537 and J2805. It came up today that we should be using 78226 when done with Choletec and we should only use 78227 if done with Sincalide. Aren't they both a pharmaceutical intervention? What would anyone suggest as being the correct coding?
