I work for Emergency Department physicians, they don't work for the hospital and bill separately. We have started having issues with EKG's- 93010, Electrocardiogram, routine ECG with at least 12 leads , Humana wants medical records & EKG strip sent with every time we bill for an EKG. I have been trying to find out more information from Humana, but we don't have a representative for our area. One of our ER physicians wanted to do a peer-to-peer review with someone at Humana, but I was told they didn't do that. Does anyone else have this issue going on? They will pay if the EKG results are in the Emergency Room notes. If anyone know of someone at Humana who would be helpful in this situation, it would be greatly appreciated.
