When medicare pays more than the secondary allowable what do you do with the Balance write off. I am always confused by this. :confused:

write off the balance. or develop a office policy were you can bill patient for the balance

When Medicare or any other primary insurance carrier pays more then secondary insurance carrier allows you must adjust this off if you have a contract with the insurance carrier..if not that would be balance billing the patient and this is illegal.
