Our practice has mid level providers with their own clinic. There is a bit of discussion about reimbursement. If a mid level sees a new patient or new problem non incident to, then are all future reimbursements on the new diagnosis paid at 85%? I have always been told and have found this information to be true in the past just can not locate that information now.. TIA
 
Yes. You cannot meet the incident to definition if the MD did not see the patient first for the diagnosis and establish the plan of care for the diagnosis.
