Hello,

Can someone please direct me to a qualified source for; rules, regulations and guidelines to incident to billing and documentation? I need a qualified source which I can use to present to providers to show how incident to documenting and billing should be done according to the rules, regulations and guidelines. I've searched CMS, other websites and blogs only to come up with either very vague, very confusing & sometimes even contradicting information. Please guide me to a straightforward reliable source or give your own professional feedback - thanks,

Google MLN Matters article SE0441. Tells you everything you need to know as far as Medicare goes. Each payer has their own take on the process. Many don't allow it all all. You will have to enquire with each payer to determine their rules.
