I work for an inpatient residential substance abuse facility. They have now opened an outpatient clinic that providers group, family, individual therapy, and maintenance assisted treatment. We are using the same NPI and Tax ID as the inpatient services. I have tried to bill the services, with the facility NPI, Tax ID, and rendering providers NPI, changing only the place of service to 11, instead of 55. The claims are denying, and thoughts on how to bill differently?
