We have a patient who was treated for ORIF in a different state (probably on vaca). She also had f/u appts what that Dr. She came to us for a washout due to an infection. She is still under global. We will be seeing her for her continued care. Do I need a modifier? Modifier 55 and 54 would not meet this criteria since patient will be following up with us.

Please help!

Since she had her original surgery by another physician not associated with your practice, you would not need a modifier on your surgical wash-out procedure.
