Wiki Knee Compartments

Okay,

Sorry if I sound ignorant, but I am somewhat confused on the knee compartments, and what is inside these compartments. For instance, I am coding for a surgeon who performed a medial meniscectomy, but also stated that the medial femoral condyle needed shaving. Is the medial femoral condyle located inside the medial compartment? I know I can't code this if its inside the same compartment as another arthroscopic procedure, but I am unsure what compartment its located in. Any help is greatly appreciated. Also, any idea on websites that illustrate this would be helpful!! Thanks!

1. Suprapatellar pouch & Patellofemoral joint: This includes the patella, patellofemoral joint, the trochlear notch of the femur, and synovial plicae

2. Medial Compartment: This includes the medial femoral condyle, the medial tibia plateau, and the medial meniscus.

3. Lateral Compartment: This includes the lateral femoral condyle, the lateral tibial plateau, and the lateral meniscus
