Please help me our dr removal a lesion on the rt lower eyelid and on the left eyelid he remove a lesion on lt upper lid and lt lower lid would we code it 67800 e4 and 67801. Please respond asap thank you mary
The question is if it was only stated as a lesion then you shouldn't code excision of a chalazion which is 67800. If you select lesion of the eyelid it brings up a list and with the information you provided I would select other minor lesion involving skin or subcutaneous tissue only and that codes to 11440 with no size indicated. Hope that helps.
