I am new to Mental Behavior billing and I have been asked about billing for Phone Therapy / Telemedicine calls for this modality.

Is it a billable service and if so, what is/are the CPT code(s), and modifier(s) if applicable, would we use?

There is a whole lot of information on both phone calls and telemedicine. enough to fill at least half your day . It is not that I don't want to tell you it is that it would be a really long reply. My suggestion is to start reading, the AMA CPT book has some information for these codes and you can google this information, for instance if you google, Billing for telemedicine, you will find a ton of information, and among that there is an entire booklet produced by CMS on all the ins and outs of telemedicine. In addition, search these forums as there have been tons of questions asked and answered regarding these codes. After you have read everything you can find, then if you still have questions you can message back and we can assist.
